Maserati GranTurismo S

The Maserati GranTurismo was a show-stopper at the Australian International Motor Show last October. Combining muscularity and sensuality, the presence of its sexy and sleek lines really lit up the Sydney Exhibition and Convention centre.
Equipped with a Ferrari-derived 4.2-litre V8 delivering 298kW and a 0 - 100km/h sprint time of 5.2 seconds, Maserati obviously feels that the GranTurismo needs a bit more poke to compete against many other sub-5 second sports cars available on the market today thus a more performance-oriented version of the GranTurismo will be unveiled at this year's Geneva show.
The Maserati GranTurismo S is rumoured to share the same engine with the stunning Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione/Spider - a Ferrari-sourced 4.7-litre V8 engine pumping out around 350 kW coupled to a twin-clutch transmission for a 0.3 second reduction in the 0 - 100 km/h sprint time.
Other specifics remain patchy at this stage so keep your eyes peeled for more news on the GranTurismo S after its debut next month.
